Boers and Bernstein Crap for October 2 2008 “Ron Darling…Just a Bit Outside”

For those of you not inundated with Chicago sports radio, let me explain.  There is an a great segment on the most popular show in Chicago called “Boers and Berstein” on Thursday’s at 5PM.  The show is found on The Score (those lucky enough to be in Chicago spin your dial to AM 670) or online at www.670thescore.com.    The segment consists of callers and emailers busting someone who had misspoke.  The idea is to catch a public figure or personality or sportscaster speaking an untruth.  It must be something someone SAID not something someone DID.  And at the end the “crapper” must say: “blah blah, who you crappin'”.

For example, here’s my Crap for this week:

Hey BUUUDDDYYYY!!!

Cubs pitchers weren’t the only members of Wednesday nights Cubs-Dodgers game suffering from a case of the walks.  Following a graphic displaying the Cubs-Dodgers all-time regular season record dead-locked at 1,012-1,012, TBS’s Dick Stockton said, “what are the odds of that?”  Crack-commentator Ron Darling then said, “I don’t know, Dick, but whatever happens, that picture will sure look different on Tuesday.”

Actually, Ron, the picture will look the same Tuesday.  In fact, the graphic showing the Cubs-Dodgers REGULAR season record will remain the same for many Tuesdays, until the teams lock horns for the first time in 2009.  Ron Darling, I can’t take much more of Tony Gwynn‘s high-pitch, whiny analysis, so please…WAKE UP and LOCATE the commentary strike zone, and maybe it will bleed down to my boys in blue.  While you at it, Ronnie D, ask yourself…who you crappin’?

Thanks BOYZZZZZ!!!!
